After graduating from Clemson in computer science, I built an AI scavenger hunt with my best friend as a COVID project, and it landed me a role at Wells Fargo. There, I developed a passion for bridging business and technical teams, balancing stakeholder priorities and deadlines with developers’ focus on scalability and reducing technical debt.
I have a passion for servant leadership and foreign cultures. During the 7 months gap before my MBA program started I took Japanese, green tea, classic Japanese Literature, and Judo courses at University of Hawaii. At my Hawaii Judo Dojo I used my Japanese skills to be the camp counselor for Japanese students during a Spring Judo camp. I also started Honolulu Language Exchange and was an assistant coach for kids special needs Judo classes.
As a product manager, I hope to bridge business and technology while collaborating with a team of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

- Internship Watch: spec-driven development with AI agents

I identified a bottleneck in my application process: finding new openings meant checking company career sites by hand. I built Internship Watch to automate it. Every morning it checks about 100 tech companies and gathers new Summer 2027 product roles on one dashboard. I managed the build with spec-driven development: I wrote the product spec, broke a six-phase roadmap into specs with clear scope and acceptance criteria, and directed Claude Code agents to build against them. The spec also sets daily, weekly, and monthly AI budgets, and when the budget runs low, lower-priority steps are cut first.

In 2025 I piloted GitHub Copilot across our team's development workflow. When I moved to the FX Platform team, I used AI to learn our code base's style and brainstorm clean code solutions. On a large, established trading platform, managing technical debt was a top priority. I used AI to improve test coverage and hold it at 80% under our test-driven development standards, while keeping the code readable and technical debt low. Code reviews showed we moved faster without lowering our standards, because the team kept ownership of quality.

I earned Microsoft's Azure AI Fundamentals certification to learn the foundations: machine learning, computer vision, language models, and responsible AI. I then took a Udemy course on Claude Code so I could run agent-driven development on a real project, not just a demo.
- CUFindIt: machine learning from the ground up

After graduating from Clemson, my best friend and I built CUFindIt as a COVID project: an AI scavenger hunt for Clemson students. We used transfer learning to adapt a pretrained TensorFlow model and trained it with supervised learning on labeled photos of campus locations. With OpenCV, we altered the photos using Gaussian blur, salt-and-pepper noise, and image hashing to bring out key features and avoid overfitting. Building the model end to end gave me a core understanding of how AI learns. A model is only as good as its training data, and it has to handle photos it has never seen.

Outside work
Coaching judo for children with special needs taught me that leadership means meeting people where they are, adjusting the lesson rather than the child, and reading frustration before it became a shutdown. Patience, I found, is a skill rather than a personality trait.
Organizing a spring judo camp stretched that further: I managed scheduling, logistics, and volunteer recruitment while bridging differences in how Japanese, Hawaiian, and mainland judo communities approach hierarchy and teaching. It was hands-on experience leading a project under real constraints with a group that didn't share a single cultural frame of reference.
Founding the Honolulu Japanese Language Exchange tested my persistence in a different way, since attendance was thin for weeks, but I kept showing up at the same time and place and treated growth as a marketing problem, posting flyers across campus where Japanese learners and native speakers already gathered. Attendance rose steadily, and the exchange became a real community.
